Hendon – On Sunday, March 17th, over 70 women and girls of all ages gathered at Hendon School for a heartwarming Mother and Daughter Dance Party. The event, organised by MOUVE by Dancing with Louise, was not only an occasion for bonding and celebration but also served as a fundraiser for the esteemed charity, Camp Simcha.
Attendees of the event were treated to a fun afternoon filled with Zumba routines, glitter tattoos, a super performance from our MOUVE Teens HipHop class, and, most importantly, bonding time between mothers, (and grandmothers!) and their daughters. From Pop, to Bollywood, from Afro-beats to Salsa, as well as our special mums & daughters partner routine to the Contours ‘Do You Love Me’, everyone danced together to an infectious playlist making memories that will last a lifetime.
The highlight of the afternoon, however, was the collective effort to support Camp Simcha, a remarkable charity dedicated to providing joy and support to children battling serious illness. Through ticket sales, donations, and donation buckets at the event, attendees demonstrated their commitment to making a difference in the lives of these brave young individuals and their families by raising over £3650.
“We are thrilled to see such enthusiasm for today’s Mothers & Daughters Dance Party,” said Louise, of MOUVE by Dancing with Louise. “Not only did we have a fantastic time dancing together, but we also came together as a community to support a cause that is close to our hearts. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the incredible work of Camp Simcha.”
Proceeds from the event will go directly towards supporting Camp Simcha’s programmes and initiatives, providing vital resources and assistance to children and families facing the challenges of childhood illness.
