Terms and Conditions of Participation
Last updated: 1 January 2025
1. Registration and Membership
By registering for classes with MOUVE® by Dancing with Louise ("the School"), you agree to these terms and conditions. Registration is completed online via our booking platform and constitutes acceptance of these terms.
All participants must complete the registration process, including providing accurate health and emergency contact information, before attending any class. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring all information remains up to date.
2. Fees and Payment
Class fees are payable in advance via our online booking system. We offer termly and monthly payment options. All fees are clearly displayed at the time of booking.
Late payment may result in loss of your child's place. If you experience financial difficulty, please contact us to discuss alternative arrangements before your payment becomes overdue.
Trial classes must be booked and paid for through our standard booking process. Trial class fees are non-refundable but may be credited towards a full term booking if you enrol within 7 days of the trial.
3. Auto-Renewal and Continuous Enrolment
Enrolment is on a continuous basis and will automatically renew at the end of each term unless you notify us otherwise. You will receive a reminder before each new term begins with updated class schedules and fees.
To cancel your enrolment, you must provide written notice (email to info@dancingwithlouise.com) at least 14 days before the start of the next term. Cancellations received after this deadline will take effect from the following term.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
We do not offer refunds for missed classes. If a class is cancelled by the School (e.g., due to teacher illness or venue unavailability), we will offer a replacement class or credit to your account.
If the School needs to cancel a full term or a significant portion of classes, a pro-rata refund will be issued. In the event of circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), we will endeavour to provide alternative arrangements such as online classes.
Holiday camp bookings: Cancellations made more than 14 days before the camp start date will receive a full refund minus the deposit. Cancellations made within 14 days are non-refundable but transferable to another camp date, subject to availability.
5. Attendance and Behaviour
Regular attendance is encouraged for your child's progression and enjoyment. Please notify us if your child will be absent.
We expect all participants to behave respectfully towards teachers, staff, and fellow students. The School reserves the right to exclude any participant whose behaviour is disruptive or poses a safety risk, without refund.
Parents and guardians are responsible for dropping off and collecting children punctually. For children aged 5 and under, a parent or guardian must remain on the premises during the class.
6. Health, Safety and Liability
You must inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or special needs that may affect participation. This information must be kept up to date on your registration profile.
Participants take part in physical activities at their own risk. While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure safety, the School is not liable for injuries sustained during classes, camps, or events except where caused by our negligence.
All teachers are DBS-checked and hold relevant qualifications and first aid certificates. Our venues meet appropriate health and safety standards.
7. Data Protection
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We will only use your data for the purposes of administering your child's classes, communicating important information, and (with your consent) sending marketing communications about the School's activities.
8. Photographs and Videos
The School may take photographs and videos during classes, camps, performances, and events for use on our website, social media, and marketing materials. By registering, you consent to this unless you notify us otherwise in writing.
If you do not wish your child to be photographed or filmed, please inform us in writing at info@dancingwithlouise.com and we will make every effort to respect your wishes.
9. Performances and Events
From time to time, students may be invited to participate in performances, shows, and events. Participation is voluntary. Separate terms and costs may apply to specific events and will be communicated in advance.
Rehearsal and performance schedules may require attendance outside of normal class times. We will provide as much notice as possible for any additional commitments.
10. Complaints
If you have a complaint or concern, please raise it with your child's teacher in the first instance, or contact us at info@dancingwithlouise.com. We take all feedback seriously and aim to resolve issues promptly.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
The School reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Notice of changes will be communicated via email and/or our website. Continued participation after changes have been communicated constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
